Meet Ruth
-
Founder | Chief Play Architect
Ruth delights in partnering with for-purpose organisations making a meaningful difference in the world.
Ruth's strong heart for justice and advocacy led her to play with leading for-purpose organisations specialising in aid and development, anti-human trafficking and justice across Australia, Asia and Africa. She thrives in culturally and linguistically diverse environments and can communicate in languages including English, Bahasa Indonesia, Telugu and conversational Hindi.
Ruth believes that fundraising is a truly transformational process where all stakeholders may give and receive, learn and grow. She believes in the power of ethical storytelling to bring true freedom to survivors, shift perspectives in readers and create long-term, values-aligned partnerships.
Ruth has significant experience liaising with stakeholders, managing portfolios of private funding partnerships and fundraising across face-to-face, telephone and online platforms. Across for-purpose organisations, she has led teams, cultivated community and consistently met and exceeded fundraising targets. Utilising a collaborative appproach, Ruth has designed and implemented training, built systems and processes that are fit for purpose and metrics to measure return on investment to inform strategies for success.
Ruth graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and Arts (Psychology major) and a Diploma of Language (Indonesian) from Monash University during 2016. She was admitted to practice as an Australian Legal Practitioner during 2019 and has significant experience as an advocate and advisor across accredited community legal centres and private practice.
Ruth’s passion for building business for good led to the birth of PLC Coaching and Consulting during 2024.
Ruth believes that healthy rhythms of rest, play and work are essential to a life well-lived. She can often be found exploring new places, playing in the ocean and sharing chai with people she loves.
